No pressure
People
have very different expectations for Valentine’s Day so being unattached means
you’ll avoid any pressure and don’t have to worry about whether or not you
should buy your date a gift (or buy one and keep it in reserve just in case
they get you one -we have done this!)
You can host an anti-Valentines day
party
Since the
film Valentine’s Day, we’ve wanted to do this! Go with a "Love Hurts" theme and
use all black decorations. No flowers, no cards, no candy… just good food, good
friends,
and good drinks!
A
great excuse to spend time with friends
Whether
you plan a Valentine’s-appropriate chick flick or an alternative horror, Valentine’s
Day can be a great day to spend with friends. If you’re a little disappointed
to be missing out on a candlelit meal why not host a semi-formal dinner party? Being
single doesn’t mean you have to go without fizz!
Make
the day all about the things you love
If you’re
not keen on roses but you love daisies treat yourself. Stay in and indulge
in the guilty pleasures you don’t get enough of: your favourite foods, a film, a
bubble bath or a new book. Pamper yourself, guilt-free.
You’re
going to save money
It’s been
revealed that the average British man spends £40 on Valentine’s Day - pricey!
Instead, count your financial blessings and buy those chocolates half price on
the 15th?
You
can spend it with your Hollywood crush
When
you’ve got a Ryan Gosling movie marathon lined up who wants to go out? Why not
invite over your friends so you can swoon together.
The
possibilities are endless
