Finding love in London can be tough - busy lifestyles and cramped, exasperated commuters on equally exasperated public transport doesn’t sound like the beginning of a timeless love story.
But, a new survey has revealed which London stations have the best ratios of single ladies to men, and vice versa to give you a head start. The survey was carried out using geo-location technology at all 153 London Underground stations, giving a complete picture of the capital’s dating scene.
According
to the findings, those looking for a single lady would be well
advised to take the Westbound platform towards Goldhawk Road, where there’s four single
ladies for every single man. Single men though on the other hand are most likely to be found around East
London's DLR line - after all Pudding Mill Lane in Stratford is home to 4.6 male daters
for every female.
The highest overall number of singletons are, of course, found in central London, with Liverpool St. the overall hotspot for single men, and Piccadilly Circus home to the most single women. The tactics of one commuter will only get you so far.... (pic credit Metro) |
