With 2014 drawing to a close, we’re taking a look back at who hooked up and who broke up during 2014.

Jennifer Lawrence & Chris Martin

Outspoken Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin split after little more than a few months. The pair allegedly got together in August after J-Law split from Nicholas Hoult. Fingers firmly crossed as recently there have been rumours that the pair are still an item - oh we do hope so!

Khloe Kardashian & French Montana

We honestly struggle to keep up – just eight months after they started dating  Khloe Kardashian and rapper French Montana announced they we’re having ‘a break’, with rumours flying to suggest  the relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back. 

Nicola Roberts & Charlie Fennell

Nicola Roberts called it a day with Charlie Fennell after six-years saying that their love had simply fizzled out. The Girls Aloud star could always call on Chezza to arrange a blind date with one of her new hubby’s fit friends...?!

Kelly Brook & David McIntosh

Cheating allegations arose and so did the Twitter row - Kelly Brook and Gladiator David McIntosh very publicly split on the site after she tweeted: "It's a sad day but I wanted to share with you that David and I are no longer engaged. I love and respect him and wish him all the best". David took to the site himself to deny any such thing though. 

Calvin Harris & Rita Ora

We all swooned when DJ Calvin Harris and Rita Ora seemed announced they we’re an item, but alas, it wasn’t mean to be. We don’t think it was all plain sailing ans wishing each other all the best either as Rita withdrew from the Teen Choice music awards, claiming that Calvin put a stop to her planned performance of the song they recorded together; I Will Never Let You Down. We feel let down and wonder if they'll be a break up song like these celebs before them. Ouch!

Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara

Since hooking up in July they can’t keep their hands off one another, being papped canoodling outside cafes, restaurants and even double dating with the likes of Channing Tatum. 

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden

We love Cameron Diaz and it seems so does the Good Charlotte singer. The pair were spotted being very romantic together in New York during the spring and Benji Madden recently said 'family is what every man wants'. Fingers crossed then that they'll be joinng our celebrity proposals list soon and that those recent engagement rumours are true!

Lea Michele and Matthew Paetz

Things are looking up - Glee star Lea was left heartbroken after the sudden death of her boyfriend and co-star last year, but now it seems she’s found love with Matthew Paetz and we couldn’t be happier. 

The couple met on the set earlier on the year and have been sharing loved up snaps ever since…

Ariana Grande and Big Sean

If their Instagram accounts are anything to go by things are hotting up. The pair also performed together at ‘A Very Grammy Christmas’ in LA.

Ariana said: "He is one of the most amazing men in the whole world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother. I think the world of him, and he's an amazing person.”

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed

If you love The Vampire Diaries you’ll already know how #awks Nikki Reed coming to watch Ian Somerhalder work could be.

The actors are both big animal lovers and have gone as far as welcoming another feline to their brood named Sohalia – the announcement came via Instagram.

Miley Cyrus & Patrick Schwarzenegger

Patrick Schwarzenegger seems to have only ever had eyes for twerking queen Miley Cyrus, revealing to a magazine back in 2011; "My eye, though, is set on Miley."

The pair have been rumoured to be dating since Halloween when Miley was seen leaving his apartment.
