All together now... "Awwwwww!!"

Now something of a Christmas tradition, the John Lewis advert marks the start of the festive countdown in style and this year's offering is even more of a tear-jerker... "sob!"

Starring Sam, the cute little boy and Monty, the even cuter little Adélie penguin, the two are completely inseparable and totally adorable. Accompanied by Tom Odell's swelling cover of John Lennon's 'Real Love', they play hide-and-seek and football, and share walks in the park, fish fingers and bus rides... but, Monty is sad because he wants a 'special friend'.

Inevitably on Christmas Day, Sam gives Monty the gift he has been dreaming of and the whole nation explodes in floods of tears! Enjoy...
